Hello,
I just came across your site. How do you insure accuracy in reporting? Do you have a team that fact checks/edits the content? Just curious how you plan on maintaining the integrity of the stories, and how you qualify contributors, thanks ~ Mare
Hi Mare – Thank you for your comment. We have a team that will fact check and vet every article and contributor. As the editor, I will have final say over what gets published to ensure the same high standard of accuracy is applied to every article. Are you interested in being a contributor?
Hi Carrie,
Just came across this post, seems it might be worthwhile. Will you be able to actually ask questions and get answers from Council members? Couple of questions:
How does the Executive Airport benefit the everyday taxpayer, seems to me they want to spend millions to benefit a handful of Beaufort County Millionaires.
Has the 2018 tax referendum concluded, and why hasn’t the sales tax dropped by 1%, At least I haven’t noticed it.
County Council seems to be able to come up with millions for some things, but one would think that 4.3 million could be better spent on the 278 project.
Thank-you
Robert Molaison
Robert, I think you hit the nail on the head about the airport! As far as the sales tax, collections for the 2018 referendum ended in 2021 so that’s when the 1% would have dropped off.
Absolutely Walter Cronkite professional journalism 👏. You have no idea how much we appreciate fact over fiction 👍. Reminds us of Joe Friday from Dragnet. “We just need the facts, Ma’am, just the facts.” ❤ Your shortcut is now permanently adhered to my desktop.
